LeslieAnn Butler
LeslieAnn Butler’s paintings adorn the homes of George and Barbara Bush and late entertainer Michael Jackson, and have been exhibited in the Portland Art Museum, the Museum of Art in Grants Pass and the Art Museum of Coos Bay, as well as galleries in Portland, New York City, Beverly Hills and Palm Desert.
By turns exuberant and pensive, sophisticated and poignant, the paintings of Portland, Oregon-based artist LeslieAnn Butler encompass the complexities and paradoxes of human experience. With an intuitive grasp of the properties—and personality—of paint itself, she chronicles the intrigues and inner lives of a contemporary beau monde in psychologically revealing vignettes, which glitter with panache and joie de vivre, even as they haborr darker subtexts. Annie Meyer
My landscapes come from a monthly trip to the Sancerre region of France, where I have been painting for 13 years. I sit out in a field and paint each evening for the month of September. The paintings and ideas I produce in France become inspiration for a body of work I then develop in my studio during the rainy Portland winters. I have an affinity for minimal landscapes, which I attribute to growing up in the Midwest, staring out at farmland with a few lines and few trees. |

Working in the Sancerre region of France, I feel that my work has evolved into what I consider an abstract sense of time and place, and with it I aim to translate the sense of identity I feel with these landscapes that are both from my childhood and myself today. |

Barry Mack
As a professional artist, Barry’s unique style of abstraction contains basic elements for the viewer to respond to with a sense of freedom and mystery. His work has been shown in east coast, Midwest and Northwest galleries as well as Nike World Headquarters, The Palace of Fine Art in San Francisco, and a group show in Australia. As a result of Internet exposure Barry’s work has been appreciated and collected by individuals from Uruguay to Italy.
“Barry Mack's work is beautiful, and artistically accomplished, all at the same time. It's a real challenge, I've found, to convey concepts and emotions of a higher nature and have the work remain strong and unsentimental. He has succeeded!" -Astrid Fitzgerald |

Amanda Houston
“I’m always drawn to the moment when the light is most dramatic, often at the edges of our days, and how the relationships of color, composition and texture within each scene speaks a calmer, simpler place in my life. Viewing and painting these meditative landscapes allows me to find a more balanced center and revel in the beauty that exists around us. Sharing these emotional connections visually, by painting beautiful paintings is what my art is about.”
Amanda is currently the VP of the NW Pastel Society, where she is an award-winning member. She has two small sons and a black lab and loves to ride her bike, cook, garden, sail and compete in local sporting events. She splits her time between Cornelius, Oregon and Lopez Island in the San Juan Islands. |

Leslie Peterson
Leslie Peterson was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. She went to New York City for college, where she attended Parsons School of Design, City University of New York, and The Art Students League. She graduated with a BFA in 1991. She returned to Portland, and has been here ever since, devoting her time to painting, volunteerism, travel, love and adventure.
“I use photographs as inspiration for a distinct piece of art, rather than limiting myself to attempting to copy or emulate the photograph. Sometimes I work from photographs taken by a professional photographer, but my true excitement comes from working with amateur snapshots. I procure snapshots from family, friends, antique stores, and the media. My greatest challenge is to recognize a great painting inside an innocuous snapshot.”
